About the Dialysis Technician Course

The two-year Diploma in Dialysis Technician Program at UIPMS has been designed to prepare well-informed professionally qualified dialysis technicians who can effectively function in hospitals, paramedical teaching institutions, dialysis centers and hospitals.

The curriculum enables students to learn the skills required for renal dialysis & haemo dialysis. It also teaches students how to apply principles of safe practice in dialysis therapy and the requisite skills in the maintenance of dialysis equipment.

The first year curriculum covers general anatomy, physiology, general pathology, pharmacology & microbiology. Further basics of dialysis techniques, hand hygiene & prevention of cross infection and basic life support & cardio-pulmonary resuscitation is also taught. The dedicated faculty at EU and their seasoned teaching methodology has earned Era University the reputation of being among the colleges for Diploma in dialysis technician training colleges in India

During the second year students learn about relevant surgical & medical conditions, nursing procedures like recording of vitals, IM/IV/SC injections, oxygen therapy, nebulization, IV infusion, diseases related to nephrology & hemodialysis & CAPD procedure etc.
